Selling and installing Pergolas is a tough ask in Canada’s current economy. How can you convince customers to spend hefty prices for something they can only use seasonally when most are struggling finincially?
I believe the answer lies in appealing to the logical and finiancial side of the consumer. A pergola is not only a leisure addition to a customer’s home, but is also an investment that can increases a home’s value, and potential selling price.
By marketing a pergola as an investment item as well as a leisure item, you welcome a whole new cost concious segment of potential buyers.
Customers must remember that their home is an asset, and with the stock market, the housing market, and even precious metals at an alltime high, it is extrorinarily difficult to find investment opportunities.
The answer lies within increasing the value of an asset you already hold. The asset being a home, and the item that increases the value being additions such as a pergola for the backyard. Such additions can both increase the value of an already rising home value or as a hedge against a merket downturn in the sense that the value of the customers home won’t decrease as much.
After all, what’s better sell than an invesment that you can relax in?
